Many familiar with local history will recall the former High Point Hospital – a mental health institution on King Street that was known far and wide.
High Point is gone. Its legacy is long lasting.
Join us on October 27 for the first-ever U.S. screening of Erased – a documentary about a filmmaker’s search to learn her mother’s experience as a High Point patient. An experience she returned from shrouded in silence and very much changed. A story that Jill Yesko needed to explore and tell.

Erased will resonate with anyone who has experienced a mental health issue or knows someone who has.
The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion on overcoming barriers to talking about + treating mental illness – in the home and workplace. Experts will share information on better understanding mental illness, local access to current treatment options, plus guidance for employers and employees on managing stigma and safe discussion.
Erased debuts Monday, October 27, 2025
