MTA: No Criminality in Wednesday Death of Riverside Resident Struck by Train

On Thursday afternoon, Aaron Donovan, Deputy Communications Director for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority confirmed to Greenwich Free Press that the person who died after being struck Wednesday by a New York-bound passenger train near the Cos Cob station around 3:35pm was Scott James Harrington, 59, of Riverside.

He added that MTA Police investigation was ongoing and there appeared to be no criminality. 

Later on Thursday, an MTA spokesperson reached by phone said as a precaution the train engineer was taken to the hospital for observation and was later released.
