More Reasons to Lock Your Car, Watch for Suspicious Persons

At the Monday morning press briefing at Greenwich Police headquarters Lt. John Slusarz said that this Sunday morning at 3:00am police received a report that someone was trying to enter cars on Thornhill Rd in the North Mianus part of town, off Riverside Lane.

The reporting party said the subject, who was wearing a white hoodie, attempted to enter  their vehicle parked in the driveway.

In a separate incident, police say that on Sunday morning an Old Greenwich resident reported their 2017 Jeep Wrangler went missing some time in the previous week from the Old Greenwich train station parking lot.

Lastly, in the area of Grass Island, Slusarz said a car was entered and a wallet was stolen from a purse. This is the second recent incident of larceny from a motor vehicle in the area of Grass Island. Two weeks ago, a car had its window smashed and purse stolen.
