Man Turns Himself in at Greenwich Police HQ for Workers Comp Fraud Charge

Michael D. Filippou surrendered to Greenwich Police on Dec. 7 on a warrant for Workers Compensation Fraud greater than $2,000.

On Monday, inspectors from the Chief State’s Attorney’s office arrived at Greenwich Police Headquarters to execute an arrest warrant for Filippou, 49, of 3239 Fairmount Ave in the Bronx, for the charge of Fraudulent Claim or Receipt of Benefits.

Fillipou arrived at GPD Headquarters in order to turn himself in on said warrant.

Filippou was arrested, processed and was assigned a court date of Dec. 15 at Stamford Superior Court. Police Inspectors then released Filippou on a non-surety $10,000 bond.
