Man Runs Stop Sign, Gets Arrested by Greenwich Police

At about 1:00pm on Sept 22, Greenwich Police observed a driver run a stop sign at the intersection of Frontage Road and I-95 by Exit 2’s southbound exit ramp.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted in the area of 251 Byram Road.

During the stop, police found the strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. The driver, Mr. Ferreira-Cabrera, admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving.

Mr. Ferreira-Cabrera did not perform field sobriety tests to standard. He was arrested and charged with DUI and Failure to Obey a Stop Sign.

Mr. Ferreira-Cabrera was able to post his $300 bond and was assigned an Oct 6, 2017 date in Stamford Superior Court.
