Man Known to Greenwich Police Charged with Stealing from Restaurant

On Sept 29 a local business was burglarized. Police investigation developed probable cause that Kevin Joyce was involved in the crime.

Greenwich Police say that just after 2:00am on Sept 26 Mr. Joyce, 49, of Quarry Knoll, a Greenwich Housing Authority property for elderly, entered a restaurant that had just closed on Greenwich Avenue and stole about $60.

According to Lt John Slusarz Mr. Joyce broke a door to get into the restaurant at 403 Greenwich Ave, which is the address associated with South Bay.

On Nov 12 Mr. Joyce responded to Greenwich Police headquarters to surrender on an outstanding warrant. He was charged with Larceny 6, Criminal Mischief 2 and Burglary 2. His bond was set at $25,000, which he was unable to post.

He was assigned a court date the same day.

In April Mr. Joyce was arrested on drug charges. An undercover Narcotics Detective negotiated a transaction in which Mr. Joyce sold the officer prescription pills classified as Scheduled 4 Controlled Substance, which are available only by a licensed medical professional.

In October 2018 Mr. Joyce was charged with Harassment for sending harassing text messages to a victim.

Back in May 2012, Mr. Joyce was one of four men arrested for an incident in which a rifle was fired at the Miller Motors dealership. Two days after a report from the area of Livingston Place of gunfire, the Miller Motors building was discovered to have several bullet holes.
