Man Charged with Criminal Trespass 1st Degree in Central Greenwich

On Monday around 3:30pm Greenwich Police responded to a residence in the area of East Elm Street in central Greenwich on a report of an unwanted person within the residence.

Though the man had departed by the time police arrived, investigation revealed that the suspect was Richard Peter Mazzari, 60, who gave his address as 597 Pacific Street in Stamford, which is the address associated with a men’s homeless shelter.

Mazzari had previously been told by police he was not allowed on the property.

Photographs and video showed the Mazzari within the residence. He was promptly located and charged with Criminal Trespass 1st degree.

His bond was set at $1,000, which he was able to post. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 19, 2020.
