On December 5, 2019 Greenwich Police investigated a report of an assault that had occurred at a business on West Putnam Ave.
the victim reported that he was attacked and strangled by an unknown person who was later identified as David Reid, 64, of Little Fawn Drive in Shelton, CT.
Police say during the investigation Reid was interviewed and provided police with a statement which proved to be false and misleading.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Reid and on Feb 5, 2020, Reid turned himself in to Greenwich Police.
He was charged with Strangulation 3, Assault 3, Breach of Peace 2 and False Statement. His bond was set at $5,000 and he has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 19, 2020.
