Lost Driver on Dead End at 3am Charged with Probation Violation

On Thursday July 12 Greenwich Police arrested a Stamford man and charged him with Violation of Probation. The original charges relating to an incident on Glendale Street in Greenwich on July 12, 2018 around 3:00am.

On Thursday, officers observed a suspicious vehicle traveling slowly on a dead end street.

Officers spoke with occupants of the vehicle who all said they were lost.

While speaking with the occupants police detected the odor of burnt Marijuana.

Police determined that one of the occupants of the car, Richard Beltran, 19, of 33 Stephen Street in Stamford, had the outstanding arrest warrant for Violation of Probation out of Bridgeport.

His bond was set at $35,000, which he was unable to post.

He was assigned a date in court in Bridgeport on July 27, 2018.
