A local man was arrested by Greenwich Police on Jan 25 after officers spotted a vehicle traveling with a rear marker plate obscured by snow. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and police say the driver, Kevin Ezzo, 40, of Greenwich was displaying signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment and determined the vehicle had a suspended registration and no insurance.
It was also determined Mr. Ezzo’s driver’s license was suspended from a previous DUI arrest.
After being placed under arrest the accused was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
Police added that during their search of Ezzo’s vehicle and person, it was discovered he was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
He was charged with:
Violation Readable Plates, Illegal Operation MV without Minimum Insurance, Illegal Operation MV Under Suspension, Illegal Operation MV Under Suspension / Alcohol, Illegal Operation MV Under Influence of Alcohol/Drug, Use of drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substance, first offense.
He was held in custody in lieu of posting a $2,000 bond.
He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court Feb 9, 2026.
