Greenwich Woman Charged with DUI, Assault on GEMS Medic, Restraining and Assaulting Female Passenger

On March 3 Greenwich Police arrested a Greenwich woman by warrant after an investigation revealed that back on January 18, 2020 around 9:30pm she was driving under the influence of narcotics and alcohol, crashed her car in the area of Hamilton Avenue, and as a result needed medical attention.

Police investigation also revealed that the woman, Bridget Palazzo, 33, of Lafayette Place in Greenwich, unlawfully restrained and assaulted a female passenger.

Police added that once located, Palazzo was observed to need medical attention due to her intoxicated state, and that while being transported to Greenwich Hospital, she assaulted a GEMS Medic.

When Palazzo was transported to Greenwich Hospital, an inventory of her vehicle revealed that she was in possession of drug paraphernalia, which Lt Slusarz characterized a glass pipe.

Palazzo was charged with Unlawful Restraint; Assault 3; Assault of Public Safety, Emergency Medical, Public Transit or Health Care Personnel (a Class C Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI.

At the time of her arrest, Palazzo’s bond was set at $25,000, which she was unable to post. She remained in custody at Greenwich Police Dept.

She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 18, 2020.
