Greenwich Police Make Major Drug Bust in Wendy’s Parking Lot

Erik Riettie, 18, of 50 Fairview Avenue in Norwalk was arrested in the Wendy’s parking lot on Thursday night, May 18 by members of Greenwich Police Narcotics Unit and the Norwalk Narcotics Unit.

The Norwalk Police had an active warrant for Mr. Riettie with a $100,000 cash only court set bond. Also, the Greenwich Police Dept held an active warrant for Mr. Riettie.

According to Greenwich Police, Mr. Riettie was removed from his car along with the driver, DaeShawn James Richardson, 26, of 120 Strawberry Hill Rd in Stamford.

Riettie was found in possession of 28 wax bags containing a tan/pin powdery substance that later tested positive for Fentanyl.

Both Riettie and Richardson were arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Sell Narcotics. Criminal Attempt at Sale of Narcotics and Possession of Heroin.

Mr. Richardson was in possession of $281.16, which was seized as evidence.

Mr. Riettie was processed and released on a promise to appear in court. Norwalk Police took custody of Riettie and transported him to Norwalk to be processed. The warrant by Norwalk Police had a court set cash only bond of $100,000.

Mr. Richardson was unable to post his $50,000 court set bond  and was placed in a cell block pending his court appearance on June 2, 2017 in Stamford Superior Court.
