Update: Pemberwick Road is reopened.
Original story: The Greenwich Police Dept announced around 11:15am an investigating of a gas leak with suspicious circumstances in the area of Pemberwick Road, between Comly Avenue and Grey Rock Drive.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Stamford Bomb Squad is on scene assisting with the investigation.
Police said that as of about 11:15am, there were no injuries reported and there was no known threat to the public.
Pemberwick Road will be closed between Comly Avenue and Grey Rock Drive for an extended period. Residents are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
Police said their investigation remains active and ongoing.
