Greenwich Police Announce Graduation of Women’s Self Defense Class, High School Self Defense Awareness Class

The Greenwich Police Department is proud to announce that the Spring 2016 Women’s Self Defense Class and High School Self Defense Awareness Class graduated on June 14, 2016. The 5 week program was open to junior and senior high school students and applicants between 18-55 years of age. The class met twice a week at 6:00-7:30 p.m. and 7:45-9:15pm at the Greenwich Police Department. The 6:00 PM class curriculum was currently outlined for high school juniors and seniors.

The Women’s Self –Defense Class enabled Participants to learn proven techniques that will both bolster their confidence in self-defense situations and overcome physical /psychological situations. Instructors for the program are highly-trained and experienced Greenwich Police Officers.

Thirty- six women graduated from this program. The Greenwich Police Department is currently scheduling a Fall 2016 Women’s Self Defense Class which should begin September/October.
