Greenwich Police Announce Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Seizures, Arrests

On Tuesday, Greenwich Police announced that after a year-long investigation into drug trafficking they seized large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine and arrested two Stamford men. The investigation included the efforts of local and federal law enforcement agencies.

In March 2024, the Greenwich Police Department assisted the DEA in the seizure of one kilogram of fentanyl sent from Los Angeles to a local Greenwich post office.

A month later, Greenwich Police Dept’s Narcotics Unit played a crucial role in assisting the DEA Bridgeport office in intercepting a FedEx package containing approximately 30,000 fentanyl pills.

The investigation, conducted in collaboration with federal authorities, ultimately traced the drugs to a California-based source and revealed that the intended recipient in Connecticut was Stamford resident Stanley Charles.

As a result of the investigation, DEA agents successfully seized 60 pounds of methamphetamine and 5 kilograms of fentanyl in California.

On April 7, 2025, federal agents arrested Tasean Brown and Stanley Charles, both charged with Conspiracy and Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances.

The investigation highlights the ongoing collaboration between local and federal law enforcement agencies in combating the spread of narcotics in Connecticut and beyond.

The Greenwich Police Department recognized Sgt. Ernie Mulhern, Det. Joe Rondini, and Det. Mike Hall in their instrumental roles in this case.
