Three men were arrested by Greenwich Police on Feb 22 after officers were dispatched to CVS in Riverside Commons on a report of shoplifting.
“Our officers flooded the area and located the suspects a short distance away,” said Captain Kraig Gray on Monday. “All three suspects were in one car, a Nissan Altima.”
The three men had been observed on security cameras working in concert with one another, and were observed with numerous drug store type items totaling a value under $500.
“On their person was a large bag, which had been modified to defeat the store’s anti-theft protection devices,” Lt Gray said.
Arrested were Robert Gaskins, 31, of Webster Ave in Bronx, NY; Kevin Grant, 53, of East 21st Street in Brooklyn; and Josthen Rafael Noboa, 24, of Wortman Ave in Brooklyn.
All three were charged with Larceny 6 and Illegal Possession of Shoplifting Device and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6.
Kevin Grant faced additional charges: 6 counts of Identity Theft 3 Illegal Possession of Identification Info Device, 7 counts of Forgery 2, and Interfering/Resisting Arrest.
According to Lt Gray, during processing Mr. Grant became uncooperative and non compliant. During processing he provided a series of different names, documents and dates of birth trying to obscure his true identity.
