Greenwich Man Charged with Trespass and Violation of Protective Order

Lavar Ferguson, 38, of Greenwich arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass 1st degree and Criminal Violation of a Protective order for an incident on S New Street in Byram at about 1:00pm on Jan. 9, 2016.

On Jan 9, Greenwich Police Officers responded to Byram on the report of a possible Violation of a Protective Order, which clearly stipulated that suspect was not allowed near the residence. The on-scene investigation revealed that the respondent to the protective order, Mr. Ferguson, had entered the residence of the protected party and removed a previously shared pet.

Ferguson was placed under arrest and assigned a court date of Jan. 11, 2016 at Stamford Superior Court. Ferguson was unable to post the required bond of $2,500.

Last December Mr. Ferguson was arrested charged with Cruelty to Animals and Disorderly Conduct after police in Greenwich responded to a report of a man with a pit bull type dog yelling at passing motorists and pedestrians.

More recently, Mr. Ferguson was located by the elevator bank at Greenwich Hospital by Greenwich Police and placed under arrest for Violation of Probation for charges stemming from an incident in 2014, and a second incident back in 2012.
