Greenwich Man Charged with DWI after Warrant for Medical Records Indicates High BAC

On Jan 30 a Greenwich man turned himself in to Greenwich Police on an outstanding warrant.

GPD said back on December 21 around 10:45pm, Michael Thomason, 34, was involved in a crash where he sideswiped another vehicle and a stone wall in the area of North Street and the Merritt Parkway.

Thomason was taken to Greenwich Hospital but police obtained a search warrant for his medical records, which revealed he had a 0.22 Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). From there police sought the arrest warrant, which was approved.

Thomason was processed for DWI and Failure to Drive Right. He was able to post the required 10% of his $1,000 bond and has a date of Feb 14, 2023 in Stamford Superior Court.
