On Thursday Aug 1 around 9:00pm Greenwich Police say a local man was involved in a two car crash in the area of Rye Lane Ave and King Street.
During the investigation police detected the odor of alcoholic type beverage on the breath of the driver, Edwin Emilio Sari, 29, of Deer Hill Avenue in Greenwich.
Mr. Sari was driving an Audi A4 and he hit a Ford Crown Victoria. The Crown Victoria was traveling south on King Street and Sari rear ended him when he slowed for traffic.
Mr. Sari was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
He was charged with DUI, Following Too close with Accident and Driving without a License. His bond was set at $915.00 and he was released to the custody of his girlfriend.
Sari has a date scheduled in Stamford Superior Court on Aug 16, 2019.
