Greenwich Man Charged with DUI and Fleeing Back Country Crash in BMW

Peter Oudheusden, 57, of 93 Cutler Road in Greenwich was arrested following a car crash in back country Greenwich on Wednesday, Nov 23.

The crash, which took place just before 10:00pm at Bedford Rd and John Street, took place when Mr. Oudheusden’s 2007 BMW bounced off a curb and crashed into a  2001 Toyota Corolla.

A description of the vehicle was provided to police by the other driver.

Mr. Oudheusden, who fled the scene, hit a guardrail on his way home, and was later found along with his BMW at his residence a short distance away. Investigating officers matched vehicular debris from the crash scene to the evading BMW.

While speaking with Mr. Oudheusden, it was determined that he had the odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath. He was arrested at his home and charged with charged with Evading Responsibility, DUI and Failure to Drive in Proper Lane.

His bond was set at $500 and he has a court date on Dec. 8, 2016 n Stamford Superior Court.
