Greenwich Citizens Police Advisory Committee Announces Roundtable Open for Public Dialogue

The Greenwich Citizen’s Police Advisory Committee announces they seek to hear from members of the public at a roundtable discussion scheduled for October 24 at 7:00pm at the Public Safety Complex.

People in Town are invited to come and participate. They will hear from members of the Greenwich Police Department’s command staff about current statistics and ongoing initiatives and people will have the chance to ask questions and make comments.

The committee is chaired by Peter D. Bernstein.

This is a chance to engage in a respectful, productive dialogue with the Greenwich Police Department and the command staff is eager to hear views from all. This is a critical part of the outreach the Committee is doing to make sure there is a way for members of the public to connect with their police
department and build lasting partnerships within the community.

The intention is to do these kinds of roundtables on a quarterly basis going forward and insure there is a strong dialogue going back and forth with the community. The Greenwich Police Department takes the motto of to protect and serve very seriously and this is a chance for all sides to talk and listen.

The Committee encourages residents to attend and engage in a dialogue. The Committee’s goal, since its founding in 2021, has been to increase both accountability and transparency and this roundtable is an important first step.

The committee hopes to see a good turnout for the first of these events.
