Greenwich Woman Charged with Larceny, Criminal Trespass and Interfering with an Officer

On Saturday around 5:30pm Greenwich Police responded to the CVS on West Putnam Ave on a report of a past larceny. Officers were shown video footage of the suspect entering the business and they immediately identified her as Annabelle Stone King, 29, of Greenwich. Police said Ms King was already under arrest and at police headquarters on unrelated charges stemming from a different incident that occurred nearby.

Officers responded to the police cell block to inventory Ms King’s property and found numerous stolen items from CVS in her possession totaling $198.60.

She was charged with Larceny 6 and assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 17, 2024.

That same day police responded to 140 Hamilton Ave, Rock’s Wine and Spirits, on a report of an unwanted, disorderly female.

The female had left the business before police arrived but a short time later she was located at 380 West Putnam Ave, Bellmore Wine and Liquor where police advised her she was not welcome back at Rock’s.

Nevertheless, around 7:15 police responded back to 140 Hamilton Ave, Rock’s, on a report that Ms King had returned. When police attempted to contact her as she exited the business, Ms King fled on foot.

Police said they advised her she was not free to leave, but she continued to actively resist and was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Trespass 1st degree and Interfering with an Officer/Resisting.

Her bond was set at $300. Dhe was able to post the required 7% cash and was released.

She is due in Stamford Superior Court on May 17, 2024.
