Greenwich Ave Shoplifter Surrenders to Greenwich Police

On Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at about 3:00pm, Ashleigh Kate Singer turned herself in at Greenwich Police headquarters on an outstanding arrest warrant stemming back to a shoplifting incident on Greenwich Ave earlier in the month.

The arrest warrant was completed after a larceny investigation was conducted at LF Greenwich. Employees contacted the Greenwich Police Department on July 1, 2016 after observing that Singer stole an article of clothing from the store and quickly left.

Singer, 31, of 51Forest Ave #100 in Old Greenwich was arrested and charged with Larceny 6th degree.

On July 20, Singer was arrested and charged with Larceny 6. She was able to post her $10,000 court set bond and assigned a court date of August 9, 2016 at Stamford Superior Court.

Singer is known to Greenwich Police. In October of 2014, she turned herself in to Greenwich Police after a warrant for her arrest resulted from a residential burglary at a King Street residence the previous month. She was charged  with Burglary 2, Criminal Trespass 2, two counts of Credit Card Theft, and both Larceny in the 5th and Larceny in the 6th degree. Her bond for those charges was $5,000.
