Update: Greenwich Police announced at 9:40am that Riverside Ave is open to traffic in both directions.
Original Story, 7:00am: Early Friday morning there was a transformer fire on Riverside Ave which has caused the road to be closed between East Putnam Ave and Lockwood Ave. This story will be updated as more information becomes updated. The road closure was announced by audio statement from Greenwich Police Lt. Gray at 7:05am
