Four New Greenwich Police Officers Sworn In

These four Officers will bring the Greenwich Police Department to its full contingent of 152 officers.

Officer Alan Cybulski was born in Rzeszow, Poland, and lived there until the age of 11. He has also lived in Chicago, IL as well as Farmington, New Britain, and Shelton, CT.   He attended Sacred Heart University and the College of Mt. St. Vincent.  While in college he received the Vincent De Paul Award for working to alleviate the struggles of homelessness in NYC.   Officer Cybulski is a volunteer firefighter for the town of Shelton. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Polish Youth Association. He is a teacher at St. Mary’s Parish in Greenwich, and a volunteer coordinator at Hope for the Warriors.

Officer Victoria Scofield is from New Fairfield, CT.  After graduating high school, she studied Criminology at SUNY Cortland and played rugby while in college.  Officer Scofield was previously a Team Leader at her previous employment in the field of loss prevention.

Officer Michael Limitone was born and raised in Westchester County, NY.  He earned a bachelor’s degree from Springfield College where he majored in Criminal Justice and had a Social Justice minor. Officer Limitone completed an internship at the Chicopee, MA Police Department. He was able to attend several classes with the officers and was able to role-play scenarios with them. He was also awarded the Vinod Dabral Memorial Award in recognition of his dedication to the sport of soccer and his leadership demonstrated on and off the field.

Officer Jacob Belmont was born and raised in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich. After graduating from high school, he attended Salve Regina University and graduated with a BA in Administration of Justice. While attending Salve Regina, Officer Belmont assisted the Newport, RI Police Department as a Traffic Aid, and he has been through the Internship programs at both Newport PD and Greenwich PD. Officer Belmont is very active in his community and has volunteered with several groups.

The Officers will attend the Police Officer Standards and Training Council police academy in Meridian, CT, which begins on January 5, 2024.  Upon their return in July, they will continue their training with 16 weeks of field training.
