Former Le Mans 24 Citgo Employee Faces Multiple Larceny Charges

Greenwich Police recently arrested a former Greenwich resident, Ahmed Rajput, 26, who now resides in Stamford, and charged him with multiple counts of Larceny and Attempted Larceny, as well as charging $500 on a revoked credit card and Identity Theft 3rd degree.

Police say Mr. Rajput worked at Le Mans Citco at 392 Post Rd in Cos Cob where he allegedly stole a customer’s credit card and used it to make a number of fraudulent purchases.

Police added that Rajput was also determined to have stolen money out of the cash register.

Rajput was arrested by warrant at Stamford Superior Court. The incident stemmed back to April 2023.

At Stamford Superior Court Greenwich police were met by a probation officer who related that Mr. Rajput had an active warrant for violating probation. Back in March 2021 he was found guilty of Identity Theft stemming from an incident on Brookside Drive in 2020, and had been sentenced to three years of probation.

Beyond that, Mr. Rajput was also charged with Probation Violation stemming back to an October 2020 incident when he was 24 and was charged for choking a victim on Dec 10, 2020.

Back in 2015 when Rajput was 18, he was charged with Forgery after counterfeit bills passed at local Restaurant. In that case, the US Secret Service was contacted to assist in the investigation as it involved counterfeit US currency.
