Greenwich Police responded to a report of a car crash on Western Jr Hwy near Putnam Ave on June 27 around 8:00pm.
Police say it was further reported that the vehicle that caused the crash had left the scene.
The reporting party described the evading vehicle as a black SUV.
Investigation brought officers to a residence in Putnam green where the black SUV was located on the street.
The car, a GMC Terrain, had fresh damage consistent with the crash scene.
Police arrested Daniel Petrone, 44, of Greenwich.
He was charged with Evading Responsibility and Failure to Drive Upon Right.
Petrone was able to post the required 10% minimum of his $200 bond.
He was assigned a date in court on July 10.
