Duo Face Dozens Credit Card Fraud Charges on Greenwich Ave

Greenwich Police arrested two men on June 27 after responding to a report of suspicious activity on Greenwich Avenue involving possible credit card fraud.

After in-person surveillance, officers observed two co-conspirators – Keyon Rashad Carroll-Herring, 23, of Macungie, PA and Samuel John Vincent-McCauley, 23, of Brooklyn, NY – use various credit cards in multiple stores while utilizing multiple cell phones.

Officers stopped Mr. Carroll-Herring’s vehicle on Greenwich Ave to conduct an investigation. Mr. Vincent-McCauley was seated in the front passenger seat.

Police say investigation revealed that Mr. Vincent-McCauley conspired with Mr. Carroll-Herring who utilized a credit card belonging to a 66-year old woman without authorization.

Mr. Carroll-Herring, in the act of utilizing the woman’s credit card, utilized her PII in the form of her name and credit card number without permission or authorization to commit a larceny totaling $292.40 for purchases at various stores on Greenwich Avenue.

Additionally, Mr. Vincent-McCauley was found to be in possession of two other stolen credit cards.

Vincent-McCauley, was charged with:

Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6 (4 counts)
Payment Card Theft
Conspiracy to Commit Payment Card Theft (2 counts)
Conspiracy to commit less than $500 on Revoked Payment Card (4 counts)
Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft 2
Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft 3 (3 counts)
Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Impersonation (4 counts)

He was able to post the required 7% of his $50,000 bond and was released. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 12.

Mr. Carroll-Herring was charged with:

Larceny 6 (4 counts)
Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6 (4 counts)
Payment Card theft (2 counts)
Conspiracy to Commit Payment card Theft (2 counts)
Less than $500 on Revoked Payment Card (4 counts)
Conspiracy to Commit <$500 on Revoked Payment Card (4 counts)
Identity Theft 2
Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft 2
Identity Theft 3
Conspiracy to Commit Ideneity Theft 3 (3 counts)
Criminal Impersonation (4 counts)
Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Impersonation (4 counts)

He was able to post the required 7% of his $50,000 b0ond and was released. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 12, 2024.
