Greenwich Man Charged with Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct after Altercation

Greenwich Police were dispatched to the area of Sherman Ave in Byram on June 21 around 10:30pm on a report of an argument between a male and a female that escalated into a physical altercation in which the victim was slapped and thrown to the ground.

The offender, Wesley R Ribeiro, 33, allegedly also shoved another female victim to the ground where she sustained a minor injury to her leg.

Further investigation revealed the other female victim’s vehicle had two tires that were purposefully slashed by a knife and were flat.

Mr. Ribeiro was charged on June 22 with Criminal Mischief 2 and Disorderly Conduct. He was able to post his $5,000 bond and was released. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 22.

According to the Judicial Branch website, Ribeiro is due back in court on Aug 4, 2025.
