On Aug 19 around 7:20pm Greenwich Police on patrol in the area of Mill Street in Byram observed a vehicle traveling east without a front license plate.
A motor vehicle stop was conducted and it was determined that the driver, Amador Umpierre, 36, of Fair Street in Norwalk, displayed red glassy eyes and the odor of alcohol. He was unable to perform sobriety tests to standard and was charged with DUI and Failure to Display Plates.
He was unable to post his bond of $250 and assigned a court date in Stamford superior Court on Sept 4, 2018.
