On June 21, just after midnight, Greenwich Police spotted a Jeep Compass with New York plates traveling east on West Putnam Ave with no headlights illuminated.
After a motor vehicle stop, the driver, identified as Nelly Ackerson, 37, of Greenway Close in Rye Brook, NY, was observed to have red, glassy eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverages.
Ackerson was charged with Failure to Display Lights and DUI.
She was released on $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 8, 2019.
