DUI for Driver with Broken Tail Light On Putnam Ave

A driver was arrested by Greenwich Police on Sept 27 at around 6:30pm

On Thursday around 6:30pm Greenwich Police observed that a car traveling west on West Putnam Ave had a non functioning brake light. Officers attempted to stop the car for several blocks.

Once the vehicle finally stopped, the driver, Jeffrey McCarroll, 48, of 3 Azalin Court in Broad Brook, CT , was observed to have glassy blood shot eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverage.

He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was arrested. McCarroll was charged with DUI and Improper Stop/Turn Signals.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 12. His bond was set at $250 which he was able to post.
