Around 11:15pm Oct 24 Greenwich Police responded to a report that of a car drove away after an accident that caused significant damage to a utility pole.
The incident took place in the area of River Rd in North Mianus.
Police stopped a vehicle matching the description given on Havemeyer Lane.
The driver, Christian Umana, 22, of Havemeyer Lane in Old Greenwich, was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
He charged with Evading Responsibility, DUI, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and possession of Marijuana Less than 1/2 oz.
His bond was set at $250 and he has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Nov 7, 2018.
