On March 9 around 2:43am, Greenwich Police observed a gray Toyota RAV 4 traveling at a high rate of speed on East Putnam Ave in Riverside between Riverside Ave and Sheephill.
According to Lt Slusarz, police observed the vehicle come to a stop for the light at Sheephill, but due to the speed it was traveling, it it didn’t stop until it was in the middle of the intersection. Then, as the car proceeded toward Neil Lane it straddled the double yellow line and was observed swerving.
Police say Christopher Pullen, 52, from 36 Rakoczy Ave in Fairfield had the strong odor of alcohol on his breath. He was arrested and charged with DUI after he failed to perform field sobriety tests to standard. Pullen was able to post a $250 bond and has a court date on March 20, 2018 in Stamford Superior Court.
