On Monday Aug 28 Greenwich Police officers conducting routine patrol on West Ritch Ave when they spotted a car parked in a private driveway blocking the sidewalk.
Police say the car was still running and the driver was asleep. The incident took place around 2:15am.
Investigation revealed that the driver had pulled off to the side of the road and fallen asleep behind the wheel. The driver was semi-responsive when first approach and could not follow simple requests. Further, he was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
Pierre Kerlegrand, 55, of Deer Park, NY was charged with DUI and Parking of Motor Vehicle on Sidewalk.
He was able to post his $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 11, 2023.
