Driver Charged with DUI after Speeding, Weaving and Not Displaying Head or Tail Lights

Police arrested a Bridgeport man they observed speeding in a black Honda Civic on Delavan Ave on Aug 26 around 4:00am.

The driver, Jose Aca-Cuahuizo, 24, was not displaying head lamps or tail lamps.

Police say he was weaving and crossing over the double yellow center line before they stopped him.

Upon investigation, Mr. Aca-Cuahuizo was showing signs of alcohol impairment. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was charged with Traveling Unreasonably Fast, DUI, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane and Failure to Display Lights.

He was able to post the 10% minimum of his $250 bon and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 8, 2023.
