DUI Charge for Woman Who Crashed into Parked Car on East Elm Street

On Dec 5 Greenwich police were advised by State Police in Southbury that during a motor vehicle stop a DMV inquiry of the driver turned up an active arrest warrant for a New Milford woman.

Greenwich officers were dispatched to pick up Kayleigh Lynn Kohnke and bring her to Greenwich to be processed on the following charges: Possession of Marijuana Less than 1/2 oz, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane, DUI, and Driving without Insurance.

Police say that back on Sept 24 around 5pm Ms Kohnke, 31, crashed into a parked car on East Elm Street. She was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Subsequent investigation developed probable cause for a warrant for the violations including DUI and drug charges.

Kohnke has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 20, 2019. Her bond was set at $2,500.
