Drugs, Paraphernalia Found in Car Stopped for Headlights Off

Officers on patrol on West Putnam Ave spotted a car traveling without its headlights illuminated on Sunday night.

After stopping the car around 9:30pm and speaking with the driver, Maxwell Tafolla, 20, of Leonard Street in Port Chester, officers detected the odor of raw marijuana. Tafolla and a passenger were removed from the vehicle, and during a search of the vehicle police found packaging material, a digital scale, THC edibles and approximately 2 oz of Marijuana.

Tafolla was charged with Failure to Have Headlights Illuminated, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession with Intent to Sell.

He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 17, 2020.

His bond was set at $500 which he was able to post. He was released from Police custody.
