Driver Who Ran Stop Sign Charged with DUI and Possession

Around 2:00am on Monday Jan 14 Greenwich Police officers on patrol on West Putnam Avenue in the area of Oak Ridge Street observed a car run a stop sign and take a wide turn.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, identified as Michelle Catherine Dupuis, 32, of Crocker Street in Greenwich displayed glassy eyes and had the odor of alcohol.

Dupuis failed to perform field sobriety tests to standard.

Also, during the inventory of the vehicle, 7 white pills were found in Dupuis’ wallet. They were later determined to be a Schedule 2 controlled substance.

Dupuis was arrested and charged with DUI, Failure to Obey Stop Sign, Improper Turn and Possession of Controlled Substance.

Her bond was set at $250. Dupuis was unable to post at the time of her arrest and was placed in a GPD cell block. She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 28, 2019.
