Dispute Over Blocked Dumpsters on Round Hill Rd Results in Arrest

On Tuesday around 1:00pm,  Greenwich Police responded to a report of an assault between two men working on the property at 350 Round Hill Road.

Upon arrival, the reporting party, Fred Barakat, told police that he was on the property to pick up garbage dumpsters, but a vehicle was blocking them.

Barakat told police an argument had ensued between himself and Francisco Olivero, a gardener about the vehicle blocking the dumpsters, and that Olivero had struck him three times in his left thigh and once in the back on the neck.

Olivero told police that Barakat had verbally abused him and that he struck him once in the thigh due to the fact that he felt the need to defend himself.

Police determined that Olivero had struck Barakat as a result of the argument.

Olivero, 51, of Raymond Street in Stamford, was issued a Misdemeanor Summons for Disorderly Conduct and has a date in Stamford Superior court on July 11, 2018.
