Cos Cob Man Charged with DUI

On March 26, around 9:45pm, Greenwich Police responded to the area of 477 Stanwich Rd on a report of a car crash. Police say when they arrived they found a car facing south in the northbound lane of travel.

Upon investigation police say the driver, identified as Colin Bannon, 26, of Cos Cob, was alone in the car in the driver seat with the vehicle running, headlights on and door open and attempting to travel south to get a stone that was under the vehicle unstuck.

As Bannon spoke to police, they say he slurred his words and could not give full responses.

Bannon was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard. He was arrested and charge with DUI. He posted his $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on April 26, 2021.
