Jorge L Ramos, 59, of 34 1/2 River Rd in Cos Cob was arrested on the afternoon of Feb 4 following a two-car crash at the intersection of River Rd and Putnam Ave.
After the crash, which occurred at about 4:20pm, Greenwich Police determined that one of the drivers, Mr. Ramos, was intoxicated. Mr. Ramos admitted to having consumed alcohol before driving and submitted to field sobriety test. He was subsequently placed under arrest. Police determined Mr. Ramos had been driving while his license was under suspension and his motor vehicle was unregistered.
Furthermore, he was unable to provide any proof of insurance while at the scene.
Ramos was charged Operating with a Suspended License, DWI, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and No Insurance. He was held on a $250 bond, which he was unable to post. He has a court date set for Feb. 18 at Stamford Superior Court.
