Greenwich Police reported that over the weekend an unlocked car was stolen from Wahneta Rd in Old Greenwich.
The car, which was stolen in the early morning hours of Feb 16, was recovered just a few blocks away.
Greenwich Police Lt Mark Zuccerella said a resident’s Ring surveillance camera showed a car drive up in the middle of night, people get out and drive away in the stolen car.
“They probably got spooked,” Zucerella said, explaining why the car was found a few blocks away.
Zuccerella said there were also larcenies from motor vehicles in Old Greenwich over the weekend.
Those cars were also unlocked.
