Byram Man Faces up to Charges of Threatening, Breach of Peace and Criminal Mischief

On May 24, Adam Zikaras, 35, of 62 Byram Terrace Drive in Greenwich turned himself in at Greenwich Police Dept on an outstanding warrant for Breach of Peace 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree and Threatening.

The charges stem back to an incident just after midnight May 17 when Mr. Zikaras appeared intoxicated and unruly at the residence of a neighbor who was within his apartment with a guest.

According to Police, on May 17, Mr. Zikaras, who has an apartment in another section of the multi-family dwelling, had reportedly forgotten his key and attempted to gain entry to the residence by either punching or kicking a window mounted air conditioning unit leading to the victim’s bedroom.

According to a Greenwich Police supplemental narrative, as the victim tried to communicate with Zikaras to stop and calm down, the victim suffered a minor cut while trying to prevent the air conditioner from falling, and in the process the window shattered. The entire time, Mr. Zikaras was yelling obscenities and threatening the victim.

Zikaras was charged with Breach of Peace 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree and Threatening. His bond was set at $500, which he was able to post. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 25, 2016.
