Breach of Peace Charge for “Pushy” Man who Beckoned Juveniles on Greenwich Ave to see a Frog on the Hood of His Car

On Sunday, June 26 at about 1:15pm, an incident took place on Greenwich Ave in which a male caused alarm to two juveniles when he beckoned them towards his van to see an alleged frog that he had found on the hood of his car.

According to Greenwich Police, Robert Christopher Martin, 56, of 93 Beachview Ave in Bridgeport, beckoned the juveniles in a “pushy manner” that caused them to feel uncomfortable as they did not know Mr. Martin.

The incident, which took place in the area of 41 Greenwich Avenue, resulted in a Breach of Peace 2nd degree misdemeanor summons for Mr. Martin.   He was assigned a court date of July 7 in Stamford Superior Court. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
