This week Greenwich Police released the Criminal Information summary on an arrest of a local man charged with Assault 3 and Disorderly Conduct.
Police said that on Nov 7 they responded to a request for a wellness check on the west side of town. Their investigation revealed that the suspect, Salvatore Scarpelli, 61, of Greenwich, had been involved in a physical altercation with the victim, striking the person on the left side of the face with an open hand, causing swelling and bruising, and that Mr. Scarpelli also struck the victim in the chest causing redness.
Mr. Scarpelli was able to post his $1,000 bond and was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court the following day, Nov 8.
