5 Brooklyn Men Face Larceny, Forgery and Identity Theft Charges after Incident at Bank

Five men from Brooklyn were arrested this week in Greenwich after plainclothes officers spotted suspicious activity at a bank the area of Greenwich Avenue.

Bike patrol and plain clothes officers working in the area detained and positively identified a group of five co-conspirators

One of the men criminally impersonated a victim using a counterfeit People’s Republic of China Passport featuring the victim’s Personal Identifiable Information (PII) in an attempt to withdraw $5,000 and conspired with the four others to commit these crimes.

A subsequent search of the vehicle the men arrived in revealed narcotics in the form of a powdery white substance that tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine.
