OGRCC Celebrates 80 Years of Services to the Community

The OGRCC (Old Greenwich Riverside Community Center) is celebrating 80 years of providing community athletic, recreational, and social programs. Since its founding in 1943, the OGRCC has grown from 30 members to over 1,800 members today.

The organization is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the community. It offers a variety of programs, including various sports leagues, dance & art classes, and social activities.

“We are proud to have been serving the Greenwich community for 80 years,” said OGRCC Executive Director, Jen Ludington. “We are committed to providing our members with the best possible programs and services. We offer something for everyone at the OGRCC—from youth sports leagues to adult sports classes—we strive to provide a wide range of activities that will appeal to all ages and interests.

In addition to providing quality programming for its members, the OGRCC also gives back to its local community through childcare and athletic scholarships and supports local school fundraisers with donations.

“We look forward to continuing to give back to the community in meaningful ways,” Ludington said.

The OGRCC invites everyone in the community to join them in celebrating this milestone anniversary with special events throughout the year. Come cheer on the athletic teams as the spring season kicks off. Visit their table at the Greenwich Town Party on Memorial Day weekend and mark your calendar to attend the annual Sailboat Regatta at Binney Park on October 15, 2023.
