The National Weather Service is forecasting a major winter storm possible Saturday into Sunday.
The storm could produce heavy snow, strong winds and moderate coastal flooding.
FRIDAY Starting Friday afternoon, the NWS forecasts a chance of snow mainly after 4:00am, with a low around 20°. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.
SATURDAY On Saturday the forecast is for snow mainly after 7:00am, with additional accumulation of 3 to 5 inches of snow possible, and a high near 30° and blustery.
Saturday night the forecast is for more snow with a low around 23°and a possible new snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
SUNDAY The forecast is for a chance of snow before 1:00 pm on Sunday, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 34°. On Sunday the chance of precipitation is 30%.

The good news is the snow will come in useful for the town’s snow sculpture contest.
