Greenwich Braces for Winter Storm, Significant Snowfall, Slippery Roads

A winter storm warning has been issued from 5:00pm Saturday until 11:00am on Sunday resulting in a possible light glaze of ice and slippery road conditions.

The National Weather Service estimates an accumulation between 5 and 7 inches.

The snow could be heavy at times Saturday night. Temps are forecast to be steady around 30° with wind chill values between 20 and 25.

On Sunday, snow and sleet are likely, possibly mixed with freezing rain before 7:00am, then a slight chance of snow between 7:00am and 10:00am.

Greenwich Public Schools are on break starting Monday, so delays or closings won’t come into play.
